Pastor Jim was born in Pennsylvania in the Pittsburgh area on January 25, 1963. He is a big Steelers fan and an even bigger Gators fan. Pastor Jim moved to Florida with his family in 1974. He grew up in Leesburg where he graduated from Leesburg High School and later from the University of Florida.
He has a bachelor's degree in Communications and a Master of Divinity from Beeson Divinity School in Birmingham, Alabama. After graduating from seminary Pastor Jim pastored two churches in the Atlanta area before coming to First Baptist in April 2005.
He currently lives in Poinciana with his wife Caulene and their daughter Kataya. Pastor Jim loves to listen to Christian rock music, sketch, read, and hike in the mountains of north Georgia.
