Leigh Ann was born in Ft. Myers, Florida in 1973 and grew up in Okeechobee, Florida. She graduated from Okeechobee High School in 1992, and began working in restaurant management shortly after. She met Dan Durfey in 1994 and moved to Kissimmee in 1996, when they were then married. They have two daughters Chelsea, 15 and Libby, 11. In 2002, Leigh Ann began working as a legal assistant at Burnetti, PA in Lakeland, Fl, and worked in that profession for 5 years.
In May 2007, the Durfeys came to visit First Baptist Church of Poinciana and immediately fell in love with this church. In November 2007, a wonderful opportunity opened up for Leigh Ann as the church’s secretary.
